About Us

Who We Are

Since 1997, Paul Sakson Environmental has been one of New Jersey’s leading environmental consulting firms.

Growing up on Long Island in the 70's, Paul Sakson, Founder and President of Paul Sakson Environmental, went camping, boating, or hiking every weekend with his family. It was on these trips, Paul gained an appreciation for the natural world and our environment. He went on to study geology at Stony Brook University, graduating in the late 1980s, just as the environmental field started taking root.

He gained valuable experience, first as a scientist at a water treatment start-up company, and then technical experience at a larger firm that focused on soil and groundwater cleanups at service stations and terminals, including clients Shell Oil Company and ExxonMobil.

During this experience, Paul developed excellent project management and client relation skills. In 1997, he decided to take these skills to help small to midsize companies manage environmental liability issues. It was then that Paul Sakson Environmental was born. Since 1997, Paul Sakson Environmental has been one of New Jersey’s leading environmental consulting firms, providing services to businesses, families and specializing in the child care center market.

Paul is a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP), NJDOH Indoor Environmental Health Assessor, certified Radon Measurement Technician and accredited Asbestos Building Inspector. He currently sits on the NJDEP’s Technical Guidance Committee for Child Care Centers and is active on several LSRP Association Committees.

How We Work

Great Communication
Efficient Processes
Project Completion
Customer Feedback

When we first engage with a potential or first-time customer, good communication is key! We listen. We must understand what our customers’ needs are to provide several well-thought-out options to meet these environmental needs within their specific budget.

From the initial customer inquiry to the submittal of the final report, Paul Sakson Environmental has developed detailed processes to ensure a project proceeds efficiently and cost-effectively. Our system uses a comprehensive “checklist” approach, whereby all tasks and work are assigned to appropriate staff members and fully documented when complete. This ensures projects are completed thoroughly and on time resulting in total customer happiness.

And because customer satisfaction is one of our core values, a brief customer survey is provided at the conclusion of the project to ensure satisfaction. Ultimately, this customer feedback and continuous improvement loop result in exceptional customer service time and time again.

Compliance

Paul Sakson Environmental and its staff have all of the appropriate NJDEP, NJDOH, and EPA certifications and licenses to make compliance with regulations easy.

For child care centers that need to renew their licenses, we help them comply with drinking water sampling and radon testing requirements.

When a new child care center or school is proposed, compliance with New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) requirements must be performed by a Licensed Indoor Environmental Consultant (LIEC) and NJDEP requirements by a LSRP. Paul Sakson Environmental makes New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) compliance achievable through the issuance of a Response Action Outcome (RAO) letter.

We are also experts at complying with regulations for other sites. For environmental due diligence projects requiring an RAO, industrial sites needing to comply with the Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA), or existing contaminated sites needing compliance with the NJDEP’s Site Remediation Program (SRP) requirements, Paul Sakson Enviornmental has an abundance of experience and the necessary licenses and certifications.
