How Long Does it Take?

We hear this question often from child care center owners looking to open a new center.   For environmental compliance the process time may vary considerably, depending on the need for sampling and any site remediation, and if New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) requirements need to be fulfilled.

Basic New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection compliance takes a minimum of 30 days for a standard Preliminary Assessment with Response Action Outcome, to potentially 2 to 3 months if soil sampling is required, or if NJDOH compliance is necessary.  It’s always recommended to plan environmental timeframes accordingly.
